Stop at various overlooks with panoramic views of the Urubamba River, traversing through several microclimates upwards, includes cloud forests, so plan for humidity and even rain throughout any season of the year, During the second stretch of 1.30 hours, the trek is a little harder, with a lovely waterfall at the finish.
Take photos and admire the breathtaking Wiñay Wayna waterfall (2600 m/8500 ft) as you cross the bridge below. These incredible Inca ancient monuments have a rich history, and some portions are still concealed by impenetrable forest. Walking so close to Machu Picchu will take you through beautiful subtropical vegetation. The guide will teach you about the Inca archeological sites, as well as the magnificent nature and wildlife in this area.
Following a brief break, you will have a fairly level climb up to the Sun Gate, but the one-hour hike is a mild undulating road, It concludes with a flight of steep stairs cut right into the rock by the Incas known as the Gringo Killer. Then, as you round the curve of the Sun Gate, You’ll get your first spectacular vista of the beautiful Machu Picchu. So take your time savoring the occasion and taking photographs. The remaining 57 minutes from the Sun Gate offer picture chances at Machu Picchu. There are a few other significant Inca sites between the Sun Gate and Machu Picchu. While on your route to Machu Picchu, ask your guide about these historical locations.
After arriving at Machu Picchu, you will have time to snap pictures from the observation platforms there, where you might perhaps acquire the well-known post-card photos of the site.
In the afternoon, as the archeological site starts to thin out of visitors, it will become closer, providing photographers with the opportunity to get beautiful images in the twilight with less people. Savor this amazing moment before driving all the way to Aguas Calientes to check in at the hotel.
Savor a stunning sunset before spending some time exploring these intriguing individuals, reciting the hot sprins, or simply relaxing at the hotel after such a life-changing day.
